This class focuses on the benefits of slowing down—on your yoga mat and in your life. Each session offers a balance of easeful movement, breath awareness and regulation, and conscious relaxation. Students will experience a variety of yoga stretches designed to release physical tensions, as well as Restorative Yoga poses and guided Yoga Nidra meditation to help create mental clarity and a sense of peace and well-being. This class is helpful for those working with injuries, chronic pain, stress-related disorders, or simply the desire to slow down. Students are encouraged to move at their own pace. No prior yoga or meditation experience is necessary

Before this series, it did take me longer to fall asleep after getting up at night, and I was always really tired after work, but I did not connect these to sleep or relaxation issues. But they have both improved using the techniques we learned in your classes.  I wonder if there are others like me who don't know they could be helped by these workshops because they don't think they have sleeping problems

Read more of Diane Miller's experience here.

Have you ever found yourself feeling tired and drained, yet unable to fall asleep? Do you ever wish you could take a nap in the middle of the day and wake up refreshed and alert?

With regular practice you can train yourself how to rest with ease, so you can receive the full benefits of a night’s sleep or even a 15-minute break in the middle of a busy day.

Rhoda has designed this 3-week series to teach the skill of relaxation and improve the quality of your sleep. Practices include guided relaxation and meditation, stretches and restorative yoga postures to release tension, and breathing exercises to calm your mind and energize your body. You will also learn ways to incorporate these methods into your life. Each series will be different, so consider attending all three for maximum benefit.
