I have to say that your yoga classes were such a wonderful part of my pregnancy. I looked forward to your class each week because it helped me gain a greater awareness of my body and baby as one.
I want to thank you for all the support with Yoga in my pregnancy. I started taking your classes in November and enjoyed every class more and more. I think you are a fantastic instructor and appreciate the difference you made in my life. Yoga really, really made a difference for me. I think that I will continue a yoga practice in my life.
My recovery went well, too. I think the yoga class helped most of it. I really look forward to going back to one of your classes, either the regular yoga or Mom & baby one. I really enjoyed Lela's classes and totally recommend her as a prenatal yoga instructor. In addition to being very knowledgable about yoga, I also found her to be a very gentle, caring and spiritual person. I have practiced yoga for almost 12 years now and, believe me, I am pretty picky about teachers, having studied with some of the best.
Yoga was the only exercise I could do during pregnancy. Very relaxing! I have used the ocean-sounding breath technique you taught us to lull my daughter to sleep.

I really enjoyed Lela's classes and I think they were very helpful throughout my pregnancy. I highly recommend her as a yoga instructor. Lela is very attentive to her students and is always trying to help you. As an example, I had a lot of back pain during my pregnancy and Lela would research and bring different exercises to help me ease the pain. She truly enjoys what she does. She is very serious about her practice and is always looking for suggestions to improve. I would not hesitate in having her coming to my home to teach yoga.
I would recommend Lela without hesitation. I have been a student of yoga since 1998, practicing many different forms with many different instructors. I took Lela's pre-natal class from May to December 2005. Lela, despite never having been pregnant herself, has a great understanding of the pregnant body and the changes it goes through. She, like all good yoga instructors, tailored the class to meet the needs of that day's participants. If there were many students of varying levels, she helped each student work at her own pace. Lela also treated the inner self, through breathing exercises, chanting, and meditation. Lela takes a great interest in her students. She has contacted me a couple of times since the birth of my baby, sending her warm thoughts and wishes to my family. I hope to return to her as a regular student soon, and in the future for another pre-natal class.
One of the things I enjoyed most during my pregnancy was Lela's weekly prenatal yoga class. Through the performance of the yoga postures that we practiced, I developed a greater awareness of my body, and felt even more connected to my baby. Personally, the ultimate relaxation I experienced during the closing meditation, was by far, my favorite part of the class. I will surely return, once baby #2 is on the way.
Labor was fine, and yes, I did use some of my yoga breathing. I also had a very easy delivery which I also think was a result of my yoga practice.
Thanks for everything, I really want to get back in to doing yoga and my fondness for it is because of you. I had never done it until the prenatal class and I loved it and I really think it was a big help for me in my pregnancy.
