Yoga study begins with the root of our human experience - the physical body. This summer, Nick will use yoga and meditation to explore the unique intelligence and power of our many bodily selves: bones, muscles, organs, glands, fluids. We will contemplate the different histories that dwell in our flesh - personal, cultural, biological, cosmological. Topics may include experiential anatomy education, freeing our posture from "do's and don'ts", evolutionary and developmental biology, the dialogue between effort and surrender, the lost art of relaxation, and what "cleansing" really means.
