Give the gift of health and growth: a class, a private lesson, a workshop. You can even pay online.
At Grateful Yoga, service and generosity is at the heart of our mission. We aim to connect with organizations who work in the spirit of kindness and equality for all.

The 8-15 year olds in residence at Rice in South Evanston are some of the most severely abused and neglected kids in the state of Illinois. They are wonderful people who need mentors and community support. That is why we are proud to give our time and energy to the programs at Rice, and encourage you to do the same.
Lela has become engaged in developing health and wellness programs for Rice staff and residents. She organized the building of an on-site garden, gathered volunteers for weekly cooking classes, and presents at local and national conferences about mind-body wellness programs for staff and traumatized kids in residential care.

The Rice Center provides numerous opportunities for Grateful Yoga’s students to be involved. This is the practice of karma yoga, or selfless service, which can be given in the form of donations, resources, volunteer time or helping with event and program publicity.
Let us know if you would like to become more involved as a volunteer or board member. You can make a donation to Rice at our studio, or through the Rice website.
We are glad to support local non-profits by donating class cards for silent auctions.
On occasion, we designate a local charity to receive the proceeds of one of our classes. Additional donations are always accepted!
We are currently ambassadors to the Evanston store. lululemon has been a wonderful addition to Evanston's yoga community since opening their store in 2008. They make high quality clothing, provide multiple opportunities for the community to take free yoga and fitness classes at the store, and have a wonderfully kind group of employees. Their business model is unique, and we are proud to partner with them.
