Class Descriptions

Basics
Neither flexibility nor strength are prerequisites for practicing yoga. This class welcomes students of all ages and abilities. Expect a gentle yet invigorating challenge in this class that explores the foundations of Vinyasa yoga. Postures are taught with care and an emphasis on breath, relaxation and mindful effort.
Hatha
Our Kripalu-inspired classes allow space for stillness and introspection within the poses. Special emphasis is placed on breathing practices and mindful posture sequences. It is taught with attention to alignment and individual needs. There will be an introduction to seated meditation for the final 5-10 minutes of each class. See the Evanston Yoga page for level descriptions.
Vinyasa
Postures flow together, linked by breath. Vigorously meditative - expect some sweat. Level 1 focuses on variations of the Sun Salutation, standing poses and balances. Level 2 introduces more challenging arm balances, longer holds and deeper backbends.
Prenatal
Runs as a 6 week series, drop-in rates available. Learn more on the prenatal yoga page.
